Using Google Maps Engine Lite in the classroom – Student Worksheet included

Written by admin

Topics: E-Learning, Google, Resource

After feeling inspired by completing the Google Mapping course I have created a worksheet that is suitable for Year 8/9 students to use in order to develop their understanding of online mapping and Google Maps Engine Lite. This could be run as a standalone lesson or as part of a wider project. I have used it effectively to link to broader e-safety discussions about online mapping and location based services too. It develops the students key knowledge and understanding and gives them another tool that can be transfered to other areas of the curriculum – Social Sciences come to mind.

Here is the worksheet – feel free to download and re-contextualise.
